Notice from the National Medical Insurance Administration on the declaration and coding of innovative medical consumables such as brain-computer interfaces.

The National Medical Insurance Administration's Big Data Center is currently openly soliciting information on innovative medical consumable products such as brain-computer interfaces from the society, in order to expedite the coding process for innovative products. Enterprises that have obtained medical device registration certificates can directly submit relevant materials such as the registration certificate, product manual, and product photos to the "Dynamic Maintenance of Medical Insurance Information Business Coding Standard Database" window of the National Medical Insurance Administration, and our department will prioritize the coding process for these products. For products that have not yet obtained medical device registration certificates, enterprises can submit technical requirements, clinical evaluation data, inspection reports, and other supporting materials, and simultaneously provide feedback on product classification suggestions. Our department will accelerate the optimization of the medical insurance medical consumables classification system, and support timely coding for products after approval.
