Former director of the Beijing Municipal Landscaping and greening Bureau, Zhou Jianping, was sentenced to 11 and a half years in the first instance.

According to the official account of the First Intermediate People's Court of Beijing Municipality, on September 24, 2025, the court publicly pronounced the verdict of former director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Parks and Greening, Zhou Jianping, on charges of bribery. The defendant Zhou Jianping was sentenced to eleven years and six months in prison for the crime of bribery, and fined one million RMB. The illicit gains and interest obtained through bribery by Zhou Jianping that were involved in the case will be confiscated and turned over to the state treasury, with the remaining amount to be pursued further.
