Manufacturing activity in Japan in September declined at the fastest pace in six months, primarily due to a further decrease in new orders. The S&P Global Japan Manufacturing PMI for September fell to 48.4, dropping below the 50 threshold and hitting its lowest level since March. The manufacturing output index also fell to its lowest level in six months, while the new orders index reached a five-month low.
