Goldman Sachs says that with the economy and market performance no longer as strong, the high valuation of the dollar is no longer warranted and the dollar is expected to further depreciate in the coming months. Strategy analysts like Kamakshya Trivedi wrote in a report that the dollar will not be replaced quickly but will still depreciate. They believe that the dominant position of the dollar will slowly weaken, despite evidence that the euro and the renminbi are rising due to Europe's shift towards supporting economic growth and the strong export sector in China. Evidence of de-dollarization in recent years is "limited," as the dollar still dominates global bond issuances, cross-border transactions, and spot foreign exchange trading volumes.
