Goldman Sachs expects the US dollar to further weaken in the coming months.
Goldman Sachs expressed that with the economy and market performance no longer as outstanding, it is no longer worth its high valuation, and the US dollar is expected to further depreciate in the coming months. Strategists such as Kamakshya Trivedi wrote in a report that while the dollar will not be quickly replaced, it will still depreciate. They stated that the dominant position of the US dollar should only slowly weaken, despite Europe's fiscal shift towards supporting economic growth and China's strong export sector providing reasons for the rise of the euro and the renminbi. In recent years, evidence of de-dollarization has been "limited," as the US dollar still dominates global bond issuance, cross-border transactions, and spot foreign exchange trading volumes.
