The company and three executives are currently facing a civil lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in a Seattle court, accusing them of inducing users to subscribe to Prime memberships and intentionally setting up a complex process to make cancellation difficult. If found guilty, Amazon could face fines and refunds totaling billions of dollars.
