It has been found that around 9:40 am on September 15th, the manager of a primary school in Jing'an District, Sun, discovered that one of the three boxes of shrimp delivered to the school had worms after being thawed and blanched. Sun reported this to the quality department supervisor, Qian, who then reported it to the actual controller of the company, Zhang. Zhang instructed the business manager and others to immediately remove and destroy all shrimp and ingredients supplied to the 211 schools. On September 16th, Zhang instructed the general manager Dong to publicly state that the reason for removal was due to the overflow of shrimp intestines with mud and sand.
