Sempra sells 45% stake in its infrastructure subsidiary at a price of $10 billion.

On September 23, American energy company Sempra announced that it has agreed to sell a 45% stake in Sempra Infrastructure Partners to a related company under KKR and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board for $10 billion. The transaction values Sempra Infrastructure Partners at $31.7 billion. After the deal closes, a consortium led by KKR will hold 65% of the shares of Sempra Infrastructure Partners and become the controlling shareholder, while Sempra will retain a 25% stake and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority will maintain its existing 10% shareholding.
