The trial of Xu Dexiang, former first-level inspector of the Anshun City Committee in Guizhou Province, for bribery, has opened in the first instance.

The People's Procuratorate of Tongren City, Guizhou Province accuses: from 2008 to 2023, the defendant Xu Dexiang took advantage of his positions as director of the Anshun City Development and Reform Commission, secretary of the Ziyun County Party Committee, and secretary of the Puding County Party Committee to provide assistance to relevant units and individuals in company operations, project contracting, project construction, etc., and directly or through others illegally accepted a total of more than 7.46 million yuan in bribes, some of which were not actually obtained. The procuratorate suggests holding Xu Dexiang criminally responsible for bribery. The case will be sentenced at a later date.
