National Energy Administration: The total electricity consumption of the whole society in August was 10,154 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 5.0% year-on-year.

According to the Wisdom Financial APP, on September 23rd, the National Energy Administration released data on the total electricity consumption in August. In August, the total electricity consumption was 1.014 trillion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 5.0% compared to the same period last year. In terms of electricity consumption by industry, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 16.4 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 9.7% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 598.1 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 5.0% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 204.6 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.2% year-on-year; and the electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' daily life was 196.3 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 2.4% year-on-year.
