Goldman Sachs escalates its S&P 500 target price: aiming for 6800 points by the end of the year, and targeting 7200 points next year.
Zhixin Finance APP learned that Goldman Sachs recently raised its year-end target for the S&P 500 index from 6600 points to 6800 points. Based on the latest closing price of the index, there is still a 2% upside potential. Goldman Sachs stated that the upward revision of the target is mainly based on two reasons: the Federal Reserve's policy stance is becoming more moderate, and corporate profit performance is resilient. In a report released last Friday, Goldman Sachs also raised its expected returns for the S&P 500 index to 5% and 8% for the next 6 months and 12 months, respectively. Based on this calculation, the corresponding index points would reach 7000 points and 7200 points.
