India launches anti-dumping investigation on copper cables from China

On September 18, 2025, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice stating that it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation on copper cables originating from or imported from China, in response to applications submitted by Indian companies Birla Cable Limited and Sterlite Technologies Limited. The Indian customs code for the products involved is 854449. The dumping investigation period for this case is from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, and the injury investigation periods are from 2021 to 2022, 2022 to 2023, 2023 to 2024, and April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.
