Zhejiang Wenzhou initiates level IV emergency response to combat typhoons.

According to the "Wenzhou City Flood Control and Typhoon Prevention and Drought Relief Emergency Plan", the Wenzhou City Defense Command decided to activate the Level IV Typhoon Emergency Response at 8:00 on September 23; according to the "Wenzhou City Emergency Plan for Sudden Geological Disasters" and the recommendation of the Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, the Level IV Emergency Response for Sudden Geological Disasters is also activated simultaneously. All regions and member units in Wenzhou are closely monitoring the typhoon dynamics and the impact of wind, rain, and waves, efficiently operating the 1833 joint command system, promptly activating emergency response, carefully deploying preventive measures, and swiftly preparing for heavy rainfall prevention, offshore vessel sheltering, safe management of sea-related operations, and other typhoon prevention tasks. According to the Wenzhou City Emergency Plan, representatives from the City's departments of Natural Resources and Planning, Housing and Construction, Transportation, Water Resources, Agriculture and Rural Areas, Culture and Tourism, Emergency Management, Meteorology, Maritime Affairs, and the Ocean Center are assigned to the City Defense Command for joint duty.
