Guterres calls for increased efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.

The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly entered the High-Level Week on the 22nd. United Nations Secretary-General Guterres delivered a speech at the "Moment of Sustainable Development Goals" event, calling on all parties to increase efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Guterres pointed out that the path to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals includes reforming the global financial architecture, placing climate action at the core, and preparing for technological change. Considering that global military spending in 2024 is 13 times official development assistance, Guterres emphasized that all work "must prioritize peace."
