In terms of news, the company announced that it has invested about $670 million to purchase GPUs from NVIDIA (NVDA.US) and AMD (AMD.US) to accelerate its growth in artificial intelligence cloud business. IREN stated in a press release that this purchase includes 7,100 NVIDIA B300 GPUs, 4,200 NVIDIA B200s, and 1,100 AMD MI350X, with a total value of about $674 million. This move increases its total GPU installation to about 23,000 units.
