By 2025, the irrigated area of arable land will account for 88.85% of the total summer grain output in the country. Water resources are the lifeblood of agriculture. Data from the Ministry of Water Resources show that currently, the irrigated area of arable land in the country accounts for approximately 56% of the total arable land area, producing over 80% of the country's grain. In large and medium-sized irrigation districts, the per-acre yield is 1.5 to 2 times the national average, and 2.5 to 3 times that of rain-fed farmland.
