The Chinese Navy announced that the J-15T, J-35, and KJ-600 three carrier-based aircraft have successfully completed their first catapult take-off and landing training on a ship in Fujian. Expert Han Wei pointed out that the successful trials mark a "two-way empowerment" of carrier-based aircraft and carrier core technologies, significantly enhancing the tactical combat capabilities of carrier strike groups and providing key support for the Navy's strategic transition to offshore defense. The KJ-600, as the first carrier-based fixed-wing early warning aircraft, enhances the carrier strike group's early warning detection and airspace monitoring capabilities. The J-35 and J-15T provide the carrier strike group with a dual capability of "stealth penetration + heavy strike." The application of electromagnetic catapult technology further improves the operational efficiency of early warning aircraft and the combat effectiveness of carrier-based aircraft. With more types of aircraft being deployed on carriers, it is expected that the offshore combat capabilities of China's carrier strike groups will achieve an "intergenerational upgrade."
