MediaTek releases the flagship smartphone processor Dimensity 9500.

On September 22nd, MediaTek released the flagship 5G smartphone processor chip Dimensity 9500. The Dimensity 9500 features a fully big-core CPU architecture, including one C1-Ultra ultra-big core with a clock speed of up to 4.21GHz, as well as three C1-Premium ultra-big cores and four C1-Pro big cores, integrated with the matrix operation instruction set SME2, and leading support for the 4-channel UFS4.1 flash storage architecture. Single-core performance is improved by 32% compared to the previous generation, while multi-core performance is improved by 17%. The power consumption of the ultra-big core is reduced by 55% compared to the previous X925 generation, and the power consumption of the multi-core is reduced by 37% compared to the peak performance of the previous generation. The first batch of smartphones equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2025.
