The underground natural gas pipelines crisscrossing, the pressure regulating stations distributed in city corners, and even the gas meters in every household now have a unique "digital ID". All of this is thanks to the application of BeiDou technology, which enables precise calculation, monitoring, early warning, and control of urban gas safety management. Recently, reporters visited the dispatch command center of Changsha New AO Gas Headquarters to learn about the integration of space, air, and ground intelligent gas safety supervision system based on BeiDou technology. "We have integrated the GeoSOT Earth Partition Grid with urban gas safety, giving each gas facility a centimeter-level precision 'BeiDou grid code' digital identity, creating a unified 'grid intelligent hub' covering the entire area," said Liu Bin, Director of the Technical Information Department of Changsha Gas Industry Co., Ltd. With this regulatory system in place, gas safety can be better prevented from potential hazards.
