On September 20th, Xibei denied a conversation screenshot circulating on social media involving a person claiming to be "Xibei's Purchasing Director Zhang Minghua" discussing returns of pre-made food with a supplier. Xibei stated that they have not heard of such a conversation taking place, and confirmed that there is no employee with that name in their notes. The WeChat conversation screenshot, in which a person identifying as "Xibei's Purchasing Director Zhang Minghua" demands the return of all pre-made products from supplier "Hu", claiming that the company is facing major problems and may have to close down, has been circulating on social media.
