Federal Reserve board member Stephen Moore told the media on Friday that he had only brief exchanges with President Trump before the Fed announced its rate decision on Wednesday, and that he did not feel pressured by the President on his voting stance. Moore voted against a 25 basis point rate cut at this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting, and strongly advocated for a 50 basis point cut. He told the media on Friday that his decision on Wednesday was completely independent.
