The United Nations allows the Palestinian President to attend meetings via video.
The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly voted today to allow Palestinian President Abbas to deliver a speech to world leaders via video during the general debate next week. The U.S. Department of State decided last month to deny and revoke visas for members of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority citing security, extremism, and foreign policy reasons. Abbas and around 80 other Palestinians were affected by this decision and were unable to attend the activities related to the 80th session of the General Assembly in New York.
