The United Nations Human Rights Council's Independent Expert on the International Order, Mr. Catalugaros, recently stated at the 60th session of the Human Rights Council that China's proposal for global governance contributes to the maintenance of multilateralism. Catalugaros pointed out that the global order is undergoing a complex transformation, providing space for the construction of a more balanced international order while also facing risks of division. China's recent proposal for global governance, based on multilateralism, emphasizes the importance of upholding the international system centered on the United Nations and the international order based on international law. In his annual report submitted to the Human Rights Council, Catalugaros highly praised China's constructive role in maintaining the international order and promoting multilateral governance. The Independent Expert on the International Order is part of the Human Rights Council's special mechanisms, with independent human rights experts serving on a voluntary basis, mainly responsible for promoting the construction of a democratic and fair international order to promote the enjoyment of all human rights (Xinhua News Agency).
