The Ministry of Commerce holds a seminar on the development of the automotive aftermarket and the reform of automobile circulation and consumption.

On September 17, Vice Minister of Commerce Sheng Qiuping presided over a symposium on the development of the automotive aftermarket and the reform of automotive circulation and consumption. Representatives from 17 local governments, enterprises, industry associations, and research institutions attended the meeting and exchanged views on topics such as car modification, RV camping, car racing, traditional classic cars, and car museums. Sheng Qiuping stated that the Ministry of Commerce will implement the requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council's "Special Action Plan to Boost Consumption," carry out pilot reforms in automotive circulation and consumption, support eligible cities in deepening reforms in accordance with local conditions, actively innovating, and taking the lead to stimulate the consumption vitality of the automotive aftermarket. In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce, together with relevant departments, will promote the removal of restrictive measures in the automotive aftermarket consumption field, further unleash the potential of automotive aftermarket consumption. Representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Administration of Customs, and the General Administration of Sports responded to the issues and suggestions raised. The participating enterprises and associations stated that they will actively carry out related work to promote the high-quality development of the automotive aftermarket.
