The reporter learned from State Grid Jiangsu Provincial Electric Power Co., Ltd. that the Jingjiang Taifu New Energy - Jingjiang Special Steel 120 megawatt/240 megawatt-hour user-side energy storage power station was successfully connected to the grid recently, marking the official operation of the largest-scale user-side energy storage power station in Jiangsu Province. This will effectively help the region's power system stability and energy structure transformation. The energy storage power station project uses grid-type energy storage technology, which can autonomously build the power grid and stabilize output voltage and frequency, acting like a giant "power bank." "The project can store up to 240,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity, meeting the daily electricity needs of about 25,000 households, and has features such as fast start-up and flexible operation," said Jia Fengquan, the person in charge of energy storage business at State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Company. The project can improve the 120,000-kilowatt frequency modulation and peak-shaving capacity for places such as Jingjiang in Taizhou, effectively enhancing the stability of the regional power system.
