On September 19, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment Li Gao stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that they will promote the construction and implementation of a policy system for peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. We will work actively with relevant departments to promote energy and industrial transformation and upgrade, as well as green and low-carbon development in key areas, and strive to build the world's largest and fastest-growing renewable energy system. The total installed capacity of wind power and solar power has already exceeded the country's self-determined contribution target for 2030. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, our country's carbon dioxide emissions intensity has continued to decline. We are also actively controlling the emissions of non-CO2 greenhouse gases, releasing control plans for methane and nitrous oxide emissions and including hydrofluorocarbons in quota management. The limit for coal mine gas emissions has been tightened from 30% to 8%, and control over methane emissions has been strengthened.
