Minister of Ecology and Environment Huang Runqiu introduced at the "High-quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan" series of theme press conference held by the State Council Information Office on September 19 that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China has taken new steps towards green and low-carbon development. The country has established the world's largest carbon emission trading market and ensured its stable operation, covering more than 60% of the national carbon emissions. The voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction trading market has been launched, and the intrinsic motivation and innovation vitality of green development have significantly increased.
