Xiamen Airport's inbound and outbound passenger traffic volume exceeded 3 million people in 2025.

According to Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, with the continuous optimization and implementation of various entry and exit policies and convenience measures, the demand for passenger entry and exit at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport has been further released. As of 8 a.m. on September 19, Xiamen Airport has transported over 3 million passengers in and out in 2025, 32 days ahead of last year; it has ensured nearly 19,000 flights for foreign passenger transport, with passenger and flight volumes both increasing by more than 12.5% compared to the same period last year, breaking historical records. So far, Xiamen Airport has opened 27 international passenger routes, connecting 20 countries across four continents, with an average of about 550 inbound and outbound passenger flights per week. Data shows that the number of foreign tourists entering and leaving Xiamen Airport in 2025 has exceeded 710,000, an increase of over 10% compared to the previous year; of which, the number of visa-free foreign tourists entering Xiamen has reached 230,000, accounting for 65% of the total number of foreign tourists entering.
