The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and two other departments issued a work plan to stabilize and increase growth in the light industry sector.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration for Market Regulation, jointly issued the "Work Plan for Stabilizing Growth in the Light Industry", aiming to promote the light industry to play a greater role in maintaining economic stable growth. The "Work Plan" proposes the overall goal for 2025-2026: to stabilize and slightly increase the scale of key industries, stabilize the basic operational efficiency of enterprises, rapidly develop new growth points, and continuously improve consumer purchasing power. It also deploys five key tasks: optimizing the supply, supporting the expansion of consumption, maintaining international competitive advantage, optimizing industrial ecology, and enhancing the driving force for high-quality development.
