The American "Cygnus" cargo spacecraft docks with the International Space Station.
The Cygnus spacecraft, developed by the American freight company Northrop Grumman, arrived at the International Space Station on the 18th, delivering scientific research materials and supplies to the station. According to NASA, at 7:24 am Eastern Time on the 18th, astronauts on the International Space Station used a robotic arm to capture the spacecraft, and then completed docking. The spacecraft is planned to depart from the space station and return in the spring of 2026. This is Northrop Grumman's 23rd resupply mission for NASA to the International Space Station, and the first mission of the upgraded Cygnus spacecraft with increased carrying capacity. The spacecraft is carrying approximately 5000 kilograms of scientific research materials and other cargo.
