Just two weeks after avoiding a possible antitrust lawsuit that could have led to the breakup of its business, Google is now fully integrating its Gemini artificial intelligence model into the Chrome browser. Google announced that starting this Thursday, Chrome users in the United States will be able to use Gemini. The capabilities of this AI model include interpreting web pages visited by the user, integrating information across multiple tabs, and even recovering previously closed websites. Google will also integrate Gemini in Chrome with other Google applications such as Calendar, YouTube, and Maps. Previously, a US court ruled that Google does not have to divest the Chrome browser.
