Du Haiyang has taken office as the acting mayor of Yibin City, previously serving in the Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

On the 18th, the 29th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Sixth People's Congress in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, was held. The meeting listened to explanations about the appointment and removal cases, and decided to appoint Du Haiyang as the Deputy Mayor of Yibin City. It was also decided that Du Haiyang would serve as the Acting Mayor of Yibin City. Earlier, on September 15th, the Standing Committee of the Yibin Municipal Party Committee held a meeting to convey the decision of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee. The provincial committee decided that Comrade Du Haiyang would be appointed as a member, Standing Committee member, and Deputy Secretary of the Yibin Municipal Party Committee.
