Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other eight departments jointly issued the "Work Plan for Stable Growth of the Automobile Industry (2025-2026)", proposing to strive to achieve an annual total car sales of around 32.3 million units by 2025, including about 15.5 million units of new energy vehicles. The policy introduces more than 60 measures from four aspects of expanding consumption, improving supply, optimizing the environment, and opening up cooperation, aiming to promote the industry to achieve both quantity and quality growth through coordinated supply and demand. In recent years, China's new energy vehicle industry has developed rapidly, with production and sales volume steadily ranking the first in the world for several years. However, it should also be noted that China's automobile industry still faces multiple challenges such as intensified competition from abroad, insufficient domestic demand, and disorderly market competition. In the future, government departments should strengthen cost monitoring and payment supervision to curb "cutthroat" competition and guide companies to focus on technological breakthroughs and value creation; companies need to accelerate the breakthrough of key technologies such as chips and solid-state batteries. In addition, infrastructure operators should also work together to improve charging infrastructure and data security legislation to jointly promote the healthy and sustainable development of the automobile industry.
