The case of the first instance of the public sentencing of the criminal suspect Li Chuanliang for confiscation of illegal gains.

On September 17, 2025, the Intermediate People's Court of Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province publicly sentenced the criminal suspect Li Chuanliang for the illegal proceeds confiscation case, ruling to confiscate the illegal gains and interest obtained through embezzlement, bribery, misappropriation of public funds, and abuse of power by Li Chuanliang. The Intermediate People's Court of Mudanjiang City, after trial, found evidence proving that the criminal suspect Li Chuanliang used his positions as the director of the Finance Bureau of Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, and deputy mayor of Jixi City to commit embezzlement, bribery, misappropriation of public funds, and abuse of power, and then fled overseas, being unable to appear in court one year after being wanted. The cash, real estate, company shares, and other properties and interest involved in the case applied for confiscation by the prosecution are all illegal gains and should be confiscated according to law; the objections and claims of the interested parties are not valid. The court then made the above ruling.
