In August, the monthly throughput of container at Shanghai Port exceeded 5.02 million standard boxes for the first time. Looking back, the container throughput at Shanghai Port in the first half of this year reached 27.06 million standard boxes, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%, firmly holding the title of the largest container port in China. By 2024, Shanghai Port will have nearly 350 international routes, covering over 200 countries and regions with more than 700 ports, ranking first in port connectivity globally for 13 consecutive years, showcasing its strength as the "Guardian of China's Economy First City" to the world.
