Secretary for the Environment Wong Kam-sing: Hong Kong will introduce aircraft recycling companies and talent training.

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, delivered a new policy address today at the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. Lam stated that the special administrative region government will introduce a leading European aviation service company to establish a presence in Hong Kong, and has reached an agreement with the company to set up aircraft dismantling, high-value parts recycling and trading services in Hong Kong. This will boost the development of industries such as trade, insurance, finance, leasing, creating new jobs in the upstream and downstream sectors. The government will also collaborate with the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy to provide training for related professional and technical talents, consolidating Hong Kong's position as an international aviation hub.
