Urban areas in the northern part of the city are expected to use the land for the three university campuses by 2026 at the earliest.

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, delivered a new policy address at the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region today. Lam stated that the land in the three phases of the Northern Metropolis University Town will be used as early as 2026.
