The latest data from the Spanish National Meteorological Agency shows that this summer is the hottest summer in Spain since meteorological records began, with the average temperature breaking the high temperature record set in 2022. Ruben del Campo, spokesperson for the Spanish National Meteorological Agency, said at a press conference on the 16th that the average temperature in Spain this summer was 24.2 degrees Celsius, surpassing the record of 24.1 degrees Celsius set in the summer of 2022. Of the 10 hottest summers experienced in Spain since the start of meteorological records in 1961, 9 have occurred in the 21st century. "We are indeed heading towards hotter summers." Del Campo said.
