Lei plans to invest $5 billion to build production facilities in Virginia.

On September 16th, local time, Eli Lilly and Company announced plans to build a $5 billion manufacturing facility in Goochland County, west of Richmond, Virginia. This new site will be the company's first fully integrated active pharmaceutical ingredient and drug production facility dedicated to serving its emerging biologics conjugation platform and monoclonal antibody product lines. The manufacturing facility is expected to be completed within the next five years.
