Indian company Jindal Steel & Power announced on September 16th that they will be in talks with ThyssenKrupp regarding the acquisition of the latter's steel division, and have confirmed that they have submitted a non-binding offer. The statement said that Jindal has proposed a forward-looking plan for ThyssenKrupp's steel to help reduce decarbonization costs. The plan aims to ensure steel production in Germany and create new business opportunities.
