According to a report released by Citibank, it is understood through industry channels that Macau's gambling revenue reached 8.8 billion Macau patacas for the first fourteen days of September. This means that the average daily revenue from September 8th to 14th was approximately 621 million Macau patacas, a decrease of about 2% from early September, but still an increase of about 8% compared to the same period last year. The bank believes that the slowdown in Macau's recent gambling revenue growth is mainly due to a relatively quiet schedule in Macau over the past week. The bank has revised down its forecast for Macau's September gambling revenue from 20 billion Macau patacas to 19.5 billion Macau patacas (about 88% of the same period in 2019; an annual increase of 13%), which means the average daily gambling revenue for the remaining days of this month will be approximately 669 million Macau patacas.
