Merk China: Unlawful individuals impersonate to carry out the so-called "civilian investment and financing"

On September 16th, Merck China released a statement stating that they have recently noticed that some criminals have been using fake apps to impersonate Merck and release false information about "private investment and financing," causing public financial losses. Merck China stated that the mentioned app and its promotional materials are not related to Merck in any way, and are acts of impersonation and fraud. As a company listed in Germany, Merck has never and will never conduct any form of private fundraising or investment collection for the public through apps, social media, or personal channels. The company has reported the relevant information to the relevant national authorities in a timely manner and will continue to provide assistance in accordance with the law.
