Li Xiaolong met with the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport of Laos, Desongkan.

On September 14th, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Li Xiaolong, met with Vice Minister of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Laos, De Songkan, who was in China to attend the 2025 China-ASEAN Ministerial Roundtable Meeting. Li Xiaolong stated that the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China is willing to work together with the Department of Public Works and Transport of Laos to implement the strategic consensus of the two countries' leaders, deepen mutual beneficial cooperation in the field of housing and urban-rural development, and continuously elevate the construction of a community with a shared future for China and Laos to a new level. De Songkan mentioned that Laos is in a rapid urbanization phase and urgently needs to improve urban infrastructure to address the challenges of natural ecology. He hopes to learn from China's experience in urban planning, construction, and management to promote sustainable urban development. Both sides reached a consensus on capacity building, cooperation in engineering construction standards, and other areas. Officials from relevant departments of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development also participated in the meeting.
