US Treasury Bonds outperform other major bond markets worldwide as the Federal Reserve prepares to begin a new round of easing measures.
With the prospect of a new round of interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve, investors' generally bearish views on US Treasury bonds have reversed, and US bonds have now ranked first in the major sovereign debt markets this year. According to the Bloomberg Index, the return on US bonds since 2025 has been 5.8% when calculated in local currency, the best performance among the top 15 bond markets worldwide. While the yield premium of US bonds over other global bonds remains significant, it has dropped to the lowest level in three years, reflecting its upward momentum.
