According to the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, under the incentives of the new policy of mutual visa exemption between China and Azerbaijan, in order to welcome more Chinese tourists, the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau will further strengthen the "China Ready" program launched in recent years, actively promote the optimization of the country's tourism system, and strive to better receive and serve Chinese tourists. This program includes providing professional training for 100 Azerbaijan tourism practitioners to obtain the "China Ready" program certification, comprehensively enhancing the local tourism reception capabilities. At the same time, Azerbaijan is also improving various supporting facilities, such as supporting Chinese payment methods, incorporating traditional Chinese dishes into hotel menus, and planning to open more direct flight routes to enhance tourist travel convenience. Data shows that in the first half of this year, 26,156 Chinese tourists have arrived in Azerbaijan, an increase of 57% compared to the same period in 2024.
