Today, the key inter-provincial power transmission project of the "14th Five-Year Plan" construction in our country, the Tibet-Guangdong DC project has started construction. This is currently the world's strongest, most advanced in technology, and largest in investment scale flexible DC power transmission project. The Tibet-Guangdong DC project starts from Tibet, passes through Yunnan, Guangxi, and finally reaches Guangdong. The total length of the transmission line is about 2681 kilometers, with four converter stations to be built in Changdu and Linzhi in Tibet, as well as Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong. After full operation in 2029, it can transmit over 43 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area annually, equivalent to half of the annual power generation of the Three Gorges Dam, with 100% clean energy.
