Egg prices are fluctuating upwards.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released monitoring data showing that on September 9th, the average wholesale price of eggs in the national agricultural product wholesale markets was 7.85 yuan per kilogram, an increase of 15.1% from the 6.82 yuan per kilogram on July 6th. Looking at the performance in early September, it is expected that egg prices will continue to rise slightly in September. Overall, entering the third quarter, egg prices have been slowly increasing, but the upward momentum is weak and the increase is not as strong as in previous years. Egg prices are at a near 10-year low for the same period. Liu Tong, manager of the statistics department at Beijing Xinfadi Agricultural Product Wholesale Market, said that currently the supply of eggs is relatively abundant, not only in terms of production but also in terms of inventory, so the conditions for sustained price increases are not present.
