France compares the EU license "passportization" to a market "atomic bomb": it may exclude encryption companies that have obtained permission in other EU countries.

According to Reuters, the French securities regulator Autorit des Marchs Financiers is considering attempting to ban the "passporting" of European licenses, out of concern that other EU countries have gaps in regulatory enforcement in the European crypto asset market. France warned that it may try to prevent cryptocurrency companies licensed in other European countries from operating locally, sparking concerns about the enforcement disparities in the EU crypto regulatory framework.
