In August, the rate of decline in industrial raw coal production of a certain scale narrowed, while the growth rate of crude oil production accelerated and natural gas and electricity production increased steadily. The rate of decline in raw coal production narrowed. In August, the production of industrial raw coal of a certain scale was 390 million tons, a decrease of 3.2% year-on-year, narrowing by 0.6 percentage points compared to July; with a daily output of 12.6 million tons. The growth rate of crude oil production accelerated. In August, the production of industrial crude oil of a certain scale was 182.6 million tons, an increase of 2.4% year-on-year, accelerating by 1.2 percentage points compared to July; with a daily output of 5.89 million tons. Crude oil processing grew rapidly. In August, the industrial crude oil processing volume of a certain scale was 63.46 million tons, an increase of 7.6% year-on-year; with a daily processing of 2.047 million tons. Natural gas production steadily increased. In August, the production of industrial natural gas of a certain scale was 21.2 billion cubic meters, an increase of 5.9% year-on-year; with a daily output of 690 million cubic meters. Electricity production of industrial enterprises of a certain scale increased steadily. In August, the electricity generation of industrial enterprises of a certain scale was 936.3 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 1.6% year-on-year; with daily electricity generation exceeding 300 billion kilowatt hours for the first time, reaching 302.0 billion kilowatt hours. From January to August, the electricity generation of industrial enterprises of a certain scale was 641.93 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year. Excluding the effect of days, the daily electricity generation increased by 1.9% year-on-year.
