Tesla's German factory manager, Andre Terich, told the media that due to "very outstanding sales data", the factory's electric vehicle production will exceed previous plans. Terich said that the factory near Berlin has "increased production plans for the third and fourth quarters", and added that Tesla's factory still expects "positive signals from all markets it supplies". However, he did not reveal specific new production targets. This optimistic statement contrasts with recent sales data. Last month, Tesla's new car registrations in Germany fell by 39%, and registrations for the first 8 months of this year plummeted by 56%. Sales in August also significantly declined in France, Belgium, Denmark, and Sweden. Norway is an exception, with Tesla's monthly registrations in the country increasing by 21%, and accumulating a 26% increase so far this year.
